Featured Artist – Gary Anderson

No, not the NFL Place Kicker, but instead, a great abstract landscape artist currently residing in Seattle, Washington. In the past, Gary Anderson has taught art at Chemeketa Community College in Oregon. In 1988 he started showing his own art in the Lawrence Gallery, the Maveety Gallery, and the Gango Gallery in Portland (sadly, those last two galleries are no longer around). He retired to Seattle in 1994 to become a full time painter and currently his work can be found at the Rental Sales Gallery of the Portland Art Museum, where he’s been a member since 1972. Gently used pieces of Gary’s work can also be found at the ReSale Art Gallery in Sellwood, Oregon.

Be sure to visit here every Tuesday for more information about the artists that I am fortunate enough to photograph on a regular basis. If you’d like to be featured here contact me via email at kindmuse@gmail.com.

On Thursdays I will typically feature a photo essay of photography created by other photographers, that I’ve found and enjoyed online somewhere.

You can also stop by on Saturdays to see original Fine Art Photography created by me in my travels around Portland, OR and abroad. See ya next time!

Peace
